Store Brand Sales Grow 4.7% to $236.3 Billion in 2023

Private brands continue to grow in popularity. Private label dollar sales in all outlets climbed 4.7% last year to $236.3 billion in 2023 vs. 2022, a record high, according to new data from PLMA’s Unify+ market data platform from Circana. Private labels outperformed national brands, which gained 3.4% in dollar sales for the same period.
